Suffered ( Bible study)

AFTER YOU HAVE SUFFERED! 🏇🏿

1 Peter 5:10-11 (10)
In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation (NLT).

How is your life’s experience? Is it fair, smooth or challenging? Hmm… the truth of the matter is that life will never be 100% rosy always (there is time for everything – Ecclesiastes 3:1-8) as this is not our home– we are citizens of heaven (Philippians 3:20). But then, you and I have not been given a slot in the mortuary neither are we bedridden; hence, “There is hope for the morrow (Ecclesiastes 9:4). So, keep calm!

Our Scripture today highlights the fact that God understands our pains and all that we go through. Which is why perseverance is essential for all Christians (2 Corinthians 4:8-11), and more importantly, be encouraged by the latter of the reading which assures that ‘God will re-establish, sustain, empower and install you on a solid ground. Eh! I like you to get excited because there is a glorious end to your weeping (Psalms 30:5). No wonder, during Job’s agonies, he refused to “Curse God” (Job 2:9-10) because he had an understanding that ‘with God, sufferings don’t last’. Thus, God indeed restored him in multiples.

Beloved, have you been battling with sin and experiencing unrest in your soul, marriage or career? Why not tell it to Jesus! He’s able to lift you out of those messes and give you a superb new life (Matthew 11:28-30). All you need is just to accept Him! (Revelation 3:20). Moreover, be inspired by His promises for your life. Eat the Word daily, and you shall never go thirsty (Joshua 1:8).
