Trip

Going
On a trip to
See a freind I have not
Seen for a long time, nervious I
Am yet excited at seeing them once
More and catch up on each others lives and
To see how we are both doing
These days and to Talk
Old times much fun
Can't wait

Wedding

May the newlyweds
Be forever in love with
One another and never
part from each other
May their love forever grow

May their path be straight and smooth

Joy

Joy is a radiant beam of light

Wake up

If you want that which lasts forever
Wake up
If you want to shine
With the love of God
Wake up
You've slept a hundred nights
And what has that brought you
For yourself
For God
Wake up

WAKE UP

Walk (Holy Teaching)

“Imagine a river flowing through a valley, never departing from its original path. Do this and you will return to a state of innocence. Perceive the bright, but hold to the dark. Like a river, let yourself flow with virtue, and set a faultless example for the world. Do this and you will return to a state of perfection. Be aware of honour, but hold to humility. Like a valley, let virtue fill you, sufficient yet everlasting. Do this and you will return to the state of the uncarved block.”

Are daily walk as Christians should be something like this.  For God's grace is the mighty river in our lives.

A Life of God-Worship (Bible Study)

Matthew 6:19-34

“Don’t hoard treasure down here where it gets eaten by moths and corroded by rust or—worse!—stolen by burglars. Stockpile treasure in heaven, where it’s safe from moth and rust and burglars. It’s obvious, isn’t it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.
22-23 “Your eyes are windows into your body. If you open your eyes wide in wonder and belief, your body fills up with light. If you live squinty-eyed in greed and distrust, your body is a dank cellar. If you pull the blinds on your windows, what a dark life you will have!
“You can’t worship two gods at once. Loving one god, you’ll end up hating the other. Adoration of one feeds contempt for the other. You can’t worship God and Money both.
“If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.
“Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? All this time and money wasted on fashion—do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.
“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

Just a thought

If the whole world took care of the ones in need in their own countries,  Who would have time to fight in a war or commit a crime

Write

Write your feelings down
Let them flow from your pen to
The paper so that
Your heart and soul may be cleansed

So much better now you feel

What right

What right do you have to judge me
So I am from a different
Nationality
Ethnic group
Social background
Race
Creed
Religion

Yet am I not human
Do we all not have
Emotions
Desires
Hopes
Joys

What right do you have to judge me
So I may have
Wounds
Birthdeffects
Missing limbs
Emotional scars

Yet am I not human
With the same
Flesh
Bones
Network of veins
A heart that pumps blood
Lungs that give air

What right do you have to judge me
So I may be
Old
Young
Man
Woman
Child

Yet am I not human
Do we all not have
Dreams
Ambitions
The need to excel
The need to prove our worth

What right do you have to judge me
So I may have
Different color skin
Different color eyes
Different color hair

Yet am I not human
Don't we all wish to be
Loved as well as in love

Just because someone is different than you
Gives you no right to judge them
For we are all human

Fighting the same battles

Peace

Peace
To those
Who long for
It in their lives
Peace

Crazy Man

Swing the sledge
Break the rocks
Destroy Destroy

Laugh like a crazy man

Fall

Leaves fall from the tree
Rake them into big piles

Kids jump into them

Do You

Do you have the spirit to follow your dreams
No holding back
No slowing down

Do you have the ability to do what it takes
To not give up your values
To not loose your spirit

Do you truly understand what it means
To give your all
To not hold back
To work hard

Do you desire
To reach your goals

To find your gift

Give me one reason

Give me one reason
To take you back
After leaving me like you did

You left me for another
Decided it wasn't worth it
Now you want me to take you back

Give me one reason
Give me one shred of truth
That you will be loyal
That you will love me

That you will be true

Home

Brick by brick stone by stone

We build this house into a home

My Life

I run my life
At a pretty fast high
I try to calm my side
With all that I bring on

I sing my song
As I go along
I am strong
I know my worth

Proving the fire that
Deep inside
To let them come for a very fast ride

To show there is much more to me

Farm Life

Sitting underneath this tree
Feeling the warm summer breeze
Sitting underneath this tree
Letting life pass me by

I work the fields all day long
Plowing rows and bailing hay
Bring the cattle in
To put them in the barn

There is nothing
That’s going to change my ways
Do this a million times
Always the same
Do what I grew up
Knowing how to do
Is my way of being true

Sweat pours down my chin
As I go stacking wood again
When the cattle start to roam
I just go out and bring them back home

When the sun sets at the day’s end
Time to rest my back again
Time to let life go

The easy way

Passing Through (Holy Teaching)

Be in the world as though you were a stranger or a traveller

As Christians our home is in Heaven.  We are just passing through this Earth

Blacksmith Forge

As a blacksmith uses his forge
To refine
To reshape
Metal into a useful object

Lord use the forges of Heaven
To refine
To reshape
My soul

For the purpose you have

Joy

Joy to the world
Joy to all

May peace find you

JOY TO THE WORLD

Christ is born today
So say Merry Christmas
In every way
For Christ was born
To bring peace
And

JOY TO THE WORLD

Willie the wolf (A Nort the Newt story)

Willie the wolf came into the forest one day and met up with his cousin Wendy.  Willie told Wendy that he had left the wolf pack and would like to live with them in the forest.   Wendy thought that was a great idea.  They both went to talk to Nort the newt.  When they met with Nort, Willie told him his story. "I have been a member have the wolf pack from when I was a cub.  At that young age it seemed cool to be doing such bad things.  I enjoyed it and looked forward to each time we got together to cause more trouble.  However as I got older the thrill and excitement started losing it's charm, so I started hanging out with the pack less and less.  Finally I decided it was time to ditch the group all together, so I came to see my cousin and seek shelter here with you all.  Nort thought that was a fine thing.
Later that day they held a forest wide meeting where Willie was introduced to everyone.  All those that were there liked Willie, there were some who did not trust him but decided he deserved a fair chance.  Wllie told his story to all who wanted to hear it.

Willie became a great member of the forest, breaking up fights, helping those in need, Driving away those who wish to do harm to the forest and the animals who live there

Gospel Life (Holy Teaching)

The Gospel life isn't something we learn then put together with instructions like building a birdhouse.  It's something we become as Christ does his work of creation and salvation in us

Going to church is a regular part of a Christian's week.  However we can go to church all we want and still not grow in our walk with Christ.   Time and time again Christ showed us that to truly grow in our faith, and serve him, we must serve others.  Our faith is a faith of action.  The poor and the weak are the ones we must help.  Think of it this way, as Christians we have the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, to go by.  Non-belivers do not have that options, they must learn about Christ and is love through our words and actions.  Our daily lives our a living gospel to the glory of God and a testimony to his goodness.  So you can go to church each week, and then go through the rest of your week as normal, sad to say though, YOU ARE NOT FOOLING ANYBODY

Flashlight (Bible Study)

1 John 1:5
Walking in the Light
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

When we become followers of Christ,  The dark things of this world hold no power on us.  For we walk wlth God, and his light is the brightest flashlight you will ever have, and the darkness can not stand gainst it

Game of Love

Why do they call love a game that I do not understand
Who's playing who, For what purpose, where does it all end

If love is a game could someone explain the rules to me

Heart

My heart is torn

Because you scorn

Like Robin Hood

Like Robin Hood
I stand against the opression around me
I fight for the down and out
I speak for those who can not

Like Robin Hood
I fight the injustice
Providing for the poor

Giving safe haven for those in need

Stand by me

Stand by me
I am your friend
Stand by me
I'll walk this path with you to the end

We are friends
Have been all our lives
We lean on each other for support
In our darkest times

We've shared joys
Special moments in our lives
We've watched each other's kids grow up
To lead successful lives

Stand by me
I am your friend
Stand by me

I'll walk this path with you to the end

Walnuts
