Curveball ( Holy Teaching)

When life throws me a curveball
Christ throws me a bat
And tells me to hit a homerun

Jesus

Jesus is my Lord, God, and King
I will praise him over everything
He saved my life
From all that strife
Now I will praise him both day and night

I will I will praise him
I will I will praise him

Depression 2

Depression is a slow death to me
Each moment an eternity
A knife thrust through my heart
Tearing my soul apart

Depression

I wear a smile on my face
For the world to see
But I don't feel it
Happiness
Always seems to allude me

I don't feel wanted
Like a burden
Placed upon this world

You look at my face
You see me smile
However
When you turn away
The frown returns
If you look deep into my eyes
You would see
I'm dying inside

When I am alone
I don't have pretend
The frown returns
From the forced grin

An empty hole
A vast waste
Is all that is left
Of my soul

You

I love you more today
Than I did yesterday

The more you share with me
The more I learn about your personality
The more I fall in love with you
The more I look forward to our time
Spent together

Before you entered my life
I was lost
I was confused
I had built up walls
Around my heart

You have helped me tear down
Those walls
You have helped me open up
You have helped me rebuild
My life

Bethany

You left the house that morning
All was fine
Later that day
The call came
A car accident
One of the cars was identified as yours
The other car belonging to a stranger

When I got to the hospital
You were in a coma
The doctor said you were hurt bad
Survival would be close

For the next month
I lived at the hospital
So I could be with you

Each day I talked to you
Each day I prayed
Still you never woke up

Each day I read the paper to you
Each day I read stories to you
Still you never woke up

Then the day came
Everything happened so fast
Buzzers and alarms went off
As your breathing faltered
As your life stared slipping away

The doctors tried their best
But
I knew it was time
Time to let you go
Then your heartbeat flatlined
The time had come
I said goodbye

Out in the hall
I wept
For what seemed like eternity
Your mother had left us
Run off with another man
Now my daughter
My only child
Had left me to

Though you are gone
You will NEVER  be forgotten

Daddy loves you

Drum praise

I bang my drum
In praise to my Lord
Just as my ancestors
Beat there drums
In praise to
The great spirit
