I can say I need you

 I can say I care

 I can say I’ll listen and that I’ll always be there

I can say I want you and that I’ll always be true

but I wish I could just say I love you

I can say you’re beautiful and complement you in every way

I can say without you my life is worthless and beg you to stay

Yes I can say all these things to you

but I wish I could just say I love you

Three little words that’s all they are

but when I’m with you they seem so far

I can recite you a poem to tell you how I feel

I can give you a kiss at the top of a Ferris wheel

 I can do all these things for you,

but why can’t I just say I love you
