Two thousand years ago my Lord and Savior
gave his life away
He did not die for glory nor did he die
in vain
He died so all men could be free
He died to save the souls of you and me
He died so we would not be laid waste by
our sin
He died so death could not hold us by the
bondage within
Yes, two thousand years ago he gave his
life away
Rejoice, Jesus is not dead but alive and
well today
