My childhood bedroom
Each bedtime at night
The radio in the window
Would play softly and light
The top hits of the week
Or just music on other nights
The Dr. Demento show made me laugh each week

Elton John
Heart
and Janet Jackson
Just to name a few
That sang me to sleep each night
Then after I drift off
My dad or my mom
Would come in and turn the radio off
