Popping the Question (A Nort the Newt Story)

Natasha the Newt, Sally the Salamander, and Nora the Newt were all having a girls day out.  Sally asked Natasha how Steve popped the question.  Natasha said" Steve had been baking the kitchen all morning that day, making cookies in the shapes of letters.  He asked me to come into the kitchen, and get a small box that was on top of a high shelf.  When I got to the kitchen the stepladder was already in place.  With my back turned Steve arranged the cookies on the counter.  When I got the box from the shelf I instantly knew what it was.  Steve told me not to open it just yet, but told me to turn around and look down at the counter.  When I looked I saw the words" Natasha my love will you marry me?"  In letters made by chocolate chip cookies. Then I got down off the ladder, and put my arms around him and said" Yes".  Then he opened the box and slipped the ring on my finger.  Sally said "that was a tasty story".

Sally then told how Nort had popped the question.  "Nort had done some work at the church of the holy firefly earlier that day.  The preacher was about to pay him, When Nort said" You can pay me in a different way."  Later that evening Nort and I went for a walk when we reached the spot.  Nort said" Sally I have something very important to ask you."  Which was the cue.  Suddenly the sky in front of us lit up with the words" Sally my love will you marry me?"  When I turned back to Nort, he was on his knees holding the ring in his hand.  I said "yes" The fireflies rearranged themselves into a floating smiley face." Natasha said That was beautiful.
