The Dead Poet

Though I am dead
My words go on
May they cause you to stand strong
Pain and suffering are a part of life
They can bring shame and strife
I say these things so you will know
That you my friend are not alone

Though I am dead
My words go on
May they sound a lover’s song
Two lovers join in one accord
May their spirit forever soar
Into a calm and gentle place
When they look into each other’s face
May their love always be strong
May it resound that lover’s song
