Macaroni and cheese egg bake ( Cooking )


1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablesoon all-purpose flour
1 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
11/4 cup elbow macaroni cooked
11/4 cup chopped cooked ham
11/4 cup chopped chive
4 large eggs

In a large saucepan melt butter ove medium heat.  Add flour cook whisking constantly 1 minute.  Stir in milk, salt, and pepper.  bring to boil ove medium-high heat.  Whisking constantly.  Reduce to medium-low heat cook stiring constantly until thickened 2 minutes.  Remove from heat.
Stir in cheese until melted.  Stir in cooked pasta, ham, and chives.  Let cool to room temperature ( mixture will thicken as it cools)
Preheat oven to 375.  Devide mixture into 4 (1 inch) baking dishes.  Using the back of a wooden spoon.  Make a well in the center of pasta mixture.  Crack 1 egg into each well.  Place dishes on a baking sheet.
Bake for about 20 minutes
