I write poems to express how I feel
To put into words
What I can not say
To invent a world that is all mine
To hide in this world my true feelings
and thoughts
I write poems to let the world know
I am human
I have made mistakes
I have learned from them
I am a better person for it
I write poems to release
The tension built up inside my soul
To release the emotional flood
To let my heart cry
I write poems
For I am not afraid to live
To take life as it comes
To learn all I can
To take that first step and keep on going
To never look back
I write poems because I have to
