While growing up I had a lot of dreams
Big and bright they shined
Thought I'd be an actor
Either on stage or the silver screen
Or maybe a writer
The greatest the world had ever seen
A fireman, police officer as well
Or a doctor helping people get well
Those are just a few of the things
I wanted to be
But as I got older I learned
There is a big difference between dreams and reality
