Dark Heart
The heart is a dark and wounded place
Blood and saddness
Death and loss
Nothing seems real
My soul cries out
But no one listens
I am alone
Adrift upon life’s ocean
Lost to the world around me
I try to find a friend
But find no one
Tears form at the corners of my eyes
An emotional damn about to burst
May I drown in the flood
