Late at night I become awake
Because of some words I hear spoken
I turn on my side to see
A bug-eyed creature looking at me
It said in a soft tone. " Sorry to wake you, but on the way to the bathroom I stubbed my toe." I responded " OK, just be more careful next time.".
The creature went to the bathroom
When it came back finding me still awake
We sat and talked until day break
Back under the bed it went
Night after night this has become a common thing
I like the nighty visits
