Hey Dad how did you and Mom meet
We both worked at the truck stop
Your Mother was a waitress
At the local diner
I worked on big rigs in the shop
We talked a little here and there
Then a mutual friend set up a double date with someone they dated at the time
We double dated for a bit and got to know each other
Then we struck out on our own
Movies
Dancing
Concerts
You name it
We went to the park
Got ice cream
Went to fairs
Soon we knew we wanted to be together forever and start a family
We were married on the beach amongst surfers, beach volleyball, and those enjoying time in the sun
It was a beautiful service
No dressed up it was all casual wear
Of course keeping the seagulls out of the food was a chore
And the wave nearly knocked me down when I threw the bouquet
