Growing up (A Nort the Newt Story)

Nathan the newt to tell you what it was like having with Nort as a brother.  When my parents first adopted Nort, Natsha and I were not sure what to make of this new comer.  However over the years Nort has proved himself time and time again to be a great brother as well as a great friend.  Nort would never start a fight, but if you started it he would finish it and finish it well.  So I learned early on not to hit him, because he WILL hit you back.  Natasha liked Nort mostly for the fact it gave her another sibling.  Nort, Natasha, and I hung out a lot, skipping rocks across the river, walking through the woods, having adventures.  Ok so the adventures mostly happened in our heads, but we played them out as best we could.  Finding buried treasure, defending our tree house from the enemy forces, being detectives on a case, or great explores exploring the world around us.  It did not matter, with our imaginations the sky was the limit.

I remember one time we were playing pirates, Nort climbed up onto the first branch of a trees, took a fighting stance, then using his best pirate voice said" Avast ye swabs, prepare to do battle." Then he jumped down out of the tree and swinging a stick started having a sword fight with the air in front of him.  There were times we would sword fight each other.  One time we were playing cops and robbers, we would take turns as to who was which.  When Nort was the cop it was a sure bet that no matter how hard you tried, you would get caught.  Playing these games with just the three of us was fun.  Though playing them with the other kids in the forest was much better.  We also like games like kickball, dodgeball, tag, running races, and other fun sports.
