Jesus said the kingdom of God is at hand over 2,000 years ago. Accordingly, the kingdom of God is at hand when we walk in the authority and power Jesus already gave us when He came the first time to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). Jesus gave us the keys to bind and loose so He can “rule” and “reign” in and through His disciples who are a royal priesthood and a holy nation. In fact, we are told that the kingdom of God is WITHIN us (see Luke 17:20-22 below). This is made possible by His Holy Spirit dwelling in our bodies which are the tabernacle or temple of God under the New Covenant. We are supposed to establish His kingdom and His righteousness on the earth as it is in heaven. This is how the kingdom of God is at hand when we preach the gospel of the kingdom.
Luke 17:20-22 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Coming of the Kingdom
20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the KINGDOM OF GOD is WITHIN you.”
