LORD

Lord I am

All that I am

You know this and yet you do not turn me away

Lord you know me in every way possible

Yet you still love me

You except me with all

My Faults

My failings

My shortcomings

I try and I try to do what is right

I however continue to fail

I should be cast into the pits of Hell

For all I have done

You will not do this For you love me

I can not see how

With all I have done

Yet somehow you do

I praise you Lord for your mercy and grace

Without which I surely would have died

I praise you for your goodness and love

I praise you for not letting me feel alone

I praise your overwhelming love

I praise your joy

Lord I just praise you

Lord even in my darkest moments

Even in my loneliest of times

You shine your light within my soul

To show me the way

To light th path before me

So I shall not wander

So I shall not roam

So I shall forever be with you

Lord after all I have done

I deserve nothing short of death

No I deserve more than that

I deserve something that the human mind has yet to understand

Something of great pain

Something that causes great sorrow

Yet Lord you spare me from such a fate

Your great love has grabbed a hold of me

Your love will not let me fall

It will not let me wander

It will not let me stray

For your love is always with me

Lord I beg for mercy

It is given to me

I thank you

I do not see how you can love one such as me

Though you do

Your love boggles my mind

I do not understand

I do not need to understand

I just need to accept

Your love is given freely to all

no strings attached

Without regard of all human shortcomings and flaws

Your love is open to all

No matter what

How many times Lord have I pushed you away

Yet how many times have you let me return

More times than I can count

More times than I most likely deserve

You have never forsaken me even at my worst

I do not understand

I thank you

For all this Lord

For all you have done

For all you have yet to do

I praise you
